AquaSteady

Led by Pratt Institute, AquaSteady, a seaweed-based water absorbent, is solving the water scarcity challenge by helping the nation’s farmers retain moisture in soil between irregular rainfalls and irrigations. AquaSteady absorbs water from soil when it is wet and gradually returns it when the soil dries. It can be formed into an anti-erosion net or other shapes.
